Myofascial Release
A hands-on therapy that targets areas of tightness and restriction in the fascia, connective tissue and surrounding musculature. By applying sustained pressure to these targeted areas it can reduce pain, relieve muscle tension and improve mobility from chronic postures, repetitive use, stress and injury. It is used to manage conditions related to chronic pain like fibromyalgia.
Low Level Laser Therapy
A non-invasive treatment that uses low-intensity light to stimulate healing at the cellular level. It helps to reduce pain and decrease inflammation while promoting tissue repair and circulation. LLLT is used to promote improvement for conditions related to arthritis, muscle injury and nerve pain. It is also reported to help speed healing post-op in some situations.

Dynamic Cupping
A modality that uses silicone or plastic cups to create suction (hence the squid vibes) while moving them across the skin or during active movement. This technique helps increase circulation and improve fascial mobility. It is used for pain reduction, muscle rehabilitation and increasing mobility.
Therapeutic Ultrasound
This treatment uses sound waves to generate heat that penetrates deeper into tissues (up to 3.5cm). This helps to relax soft tissues, increases blood flow and can help make scar tissue more malleable. It is commonly used for soft tissue injuries, chronic pain, and on post-op scar tissue.


E-Stim
Electric muscle stimulation (EMS) uses electrical impulses to contract muscles, helping to improve strength, blood flow and speed injury recovery, it is often used for muscle rehabilitation and improving athletic performance. Unlike a TENs unit, which targets to block pain signals, EMS directly stimulates muscle fibers to promote movement and strength.
Therapeutic Exercises
A personalized homework plan is often given to reinforce progress between sessions, ensuring consistent improvement and achieving long-term benefits. These movements which we have lovingly dubbed "Body Chores" (Thanks Jane!) help to build muscle strength that supports your spine, bones, joints, organs. When the soft tissues are balanced, flexible and strong, your bony structures are in better alignment and therefore have to work far less. This can prevent injury, reduce the chance of developing arthritis, improve balance (reduce risk of falling-ladies we start losing vestibular functionality in our late thirties) and increase strength.


Blading/Scraping
Also known as IASTM (instrument-assisted myofascial release) uses specialized tools (not katanas) to apply controlled pressure to muscles and fascia. This technique helps to improve blood flow, reduce pain and improve muscle malleability. It is commonly used to reduce muscle tightness and improve pain from scar tissue.
Assisted Stretching
This is when we help your body move deeper into a stretch to help promote flexibility, mobility and muscle function. It helps to reduce tension, enhance circulation and prevent injuries.
We will use PNF exercises (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) which are movements that combine stretching and contracting muscles. This resistance/assisted stretch engages the nervous system by engaging proprioceptors (sensory receptors in the muscles and joints) . This enhances neuromuscular communication, improving muscle activation and coordination over time.


CMT
Chiropractic Manipulative Therapy. Aka the "crack" aka "the adjustment" . There are at least three different ways to adjust most joints in the body. There are some that crack, some that drop, some that click. That way there are ways to get adjusted that are comfortable for all types of bodies.
What is the purpose? The adjustment is used to restore or improve motion in areas where joints are stuck or restricted (typically due to muscle imbalances that have occurred over time and chronic posturing). When a joint is restricted it can impinge on soft tissues and/or encroach on nerves and vasculature, all of which will eventually result in some form of symptomology. It can also cause bones to rub on each other or other structures (like tendons and bursa, hello tendonitis and bursitis). When bones rub on each other it stimulates the cells that make new bone, so we get new bony spots that form (arthritis) or it can rub structures away (joint degeneration).
